2020 Jeep Compass | Price, Features and Performance

The 2020 Jeep Compass received a few minor upgrades from the prior year in terms of features available on each model level. What didn't change is the fact that this comfortable and spacious SUV is fun to drive, big enough to haul your cargo, small enough to maneuver around town, and capable enough to handle whatever off-road terrain you want to throw at it.

Pricing & Models

The 2020 Jeep Compass is available in seven different model varieties, each building upon the features of the previous model. The lowest-priced model is the Sport, which starts at $26,200 and features a 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir I-4 engine with 6-speed manual transmission. The North ($29,695) upgrades the Sport's 16-inch wheels to 17-inch aluminum wheels and introduces a Keyless Enter 'n Go system with proximity entry and push-button start. The Altitude ($30,990) increases the wheel size to 18 inches and adds in black exterior accents and roof for a bolder design. The Upland ($31,690) comes next, followed by the Trialhawk ($34,195) which comes standard with an off-road suspension and Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system with enhanced Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. This is followed by the Limited ($36,195) and the High Altitude ($38,390), which both increase the interior styling with premium seats and upgraded touchscreen display.

Off-road Capabilities

For the lower models, you can choose between front wheel drive (FWD) and 4x4, as well as manual or automatic transmission, to ensure that you have the handling that you need. The 4x4 models provide a variety of terrain-conquering modes, such as Snow, Sand, and Mud, for improved traction in all conditions. For city and highway driving, the Compass offers adapt handling. It has tight cornering capabilities without any feeling of lean or potential rollover. It is solidly planted on the road and capable of weaving through traffic or obstacles in an agile fashion. If you truly want the best in 4x4 capability, the 2020 Jeep Compass Trialhawk is the model for you. This compact SUV's legendary off-road capability can be attributed to features such as Hill Descent Control, skid plate protection, and the Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system with a 20:1 crawl ratio. It is Trail Rated, having performed well under various off-road conditions.

Safety and Security Features

Jeep has increased its safety features for the 2020 Compass. There are now 65 safety and security features that are standard or available on all Compass models. A few of the safety features are adaptive cruise control with stop and go, driver assist systems, and blind-spot monitoring. In addition, Jeep has implemented Engine Stop-Start (ESS) technology to improve efficiency and fuel consumption. This dual-battery system turns the engine off when the vehicle brakes to a stop and automatically restarts when your foot comes off the brake. ESS comes standard with the automatic transmission.

If you want a compact SUV that can do it all both on the road and off, look no further than the 2020 Jeep Compass in Calgary. Built on the legendary Jeep platform and performing beyond expectations, the Compass offers a comfortable and functional ride to wherever your adventures take you.
